These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EcoCooks School Online and the elements.learnworlds.com website (the "Platform"), operated by Elements Society for Environmental Education and Leadership ("ELEMENTS," "Elements Society," "we," "us," or "our"), a Canadian Registered Charity (#876343708 RR 0001), located at Suite 220 - 145 Chadwick Court, North Vancouver, BC V7M 3K1. By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
The Platform is intended for use by educators and school staff ("Users") to access and deliver classroom-ready environmental and food-literacy education content to their students.
3.1 You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential.
3.2 You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Contact us immediately at online@elements-society.org if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
3.3 We may suspend or terminate an account that is used in violation of these Terms.
- 4.1 The Platform and its content (lessons, videos, slides, worksheets, facilitation guides, and related materials) are provided free of charge for classroom and educational use.
- 4.2 You may project, print, and use the materials with your students as part of your teaching. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly republish, or use the materials for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
- 4.3 You agree not to use the Platform in a way that is unlawful, harmful, or that interferes with other users' access to it.
- All content on the Platform — including text, video, graphics, and course design — is owned by Elements Society or licensed to us, and is protected by Canadian copyright law. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of that content to you; Section 4.2 above describes what you're permitted to do with it.
We regularly update, add to, and improve the course content on the Platform based on feedback from educators like you. If you have thoughts on what's working or what could be better, we'd love to hear them — look for a feedback form within the module.
The Platform is provided "as is." We make reasonable efforts to keep it accurate, available, and error-free, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or fault-free, and nothing on the Platform constitutes professional or curriculum-compliance advice — you're responsible for confirming fit with your own school's curriculum requirements.
To the extent permitted by law, Elements Society is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Canadian law.
- We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
